ASHRAY. literally meaning shelter is a non-governmental organization working for sustainable development in the quality of life of poor and marginalized communities in Jharkhand Founded by a group of volunteers from Madhupur, ASHRAY has been actively involved in developmental activities since 1997 and has grown to have significant outreach in Jharkhand & Bihar ASHRAY maintains its head office at Dangalpara, Madhupur, as well as 3 field offices throughout Jharkhand. With a staff of 18 employees, ASHRAY has been able to reach in six districts of Santhal Pargana Regions in the state of Jharkhand

To establish equity based society to bring about a lasting change in social state and the well being of the deprived and disadvantaged socio-economic community.
To introduce required change necessary to serve the local people from sufferings caused by the existing exploitative system.
We aim to inspect a sustainable development Process at the community level by serving the poorest of the poor.
ASHRAY work is concentrated in predominantly Adivasi, Dalit. Muslim and every backward and marginalized people of Deoghar, Jamtara & Dumka District of Jharkhand state and Jamui district of Bihar state. We expire to work with all the district of santhal parganas, Jharkhand through direct outreach and in collaboration with other non-government organization.
Ashray believes in serving the most deprived communities and vulnerable sections with a uniform approach towards the all-round development of the community living in rural and urban areas
